Admittedly I'd heard about it from this forum and I had time to change but didn't think it would/could be such an issue. That said I didn't notice any untoward wind noise during the test drive. Annoying it wasn't listed on the BMW Australia ordering guide. I've read elsewhere if people accidentally defaulting country to another country - if you have a another vehicle on the account, is that set up with correct country? Or maybe at account level?īoosh did you know about the acoustic glass when ordering? Have you ordered it?Īfter reading the wind noise thread it's the one option I wish I investigated further.

What version of drivers guide are you running? Maybe delete and reinstall, although I'm guessing the fact you can't add country is not going to assist at all as the drivers guide would be country specific I imagine. I just tried to setup from scratch - I do get a country to select but then it sends a command to the car and I need the pin from the car. I haven't yet followed up with dealer for status - too busy with school holidays and trying to sell my current car. They had done a pretty bad job of patching up the images, and I just assumed it was a mistake! I noticed in the configuration earlier in the year the X3 badge was up high and the M40i badge was down low. Looks like our badges might be lower on the boot.

Only thing I can think of is that I've already registered successfully with my wife's X1 for BMW connect so maybe once you've done the initial successful register you can do the drivers guide download. Fingers crossed for a ship by the end of the week! I can't get my Drivers Guide app to work with my VIN, but the dealer has confirmed my cars status as 'Quality Build Check'. Luckily I noticed before the build was locked in as the dealer didn't even realise. BMW quietly dropped this as standard equipment across the range and started charging $200 for it. I forgot I also ordered the wireless module. I didn't pick up on the 33% LCT on the Apple Car Play dammit! I wasn't sure if they shipped from east or west coast of US and therefore which coast of Australia they hit first - sounds like Brisbane might be before me - we'll have to compare notes when we find out which ship we're on! otherwise you just get whacked with 33% LCT on top if you buy it outright with the car.

I've entered mine and this did work - so I can read the manual even though I don't have my car yet. This is the online manual for your car and is customised for the options you ordered. There are a bunch of app BMW apps out there including one called Driver's Guide.
#BMW VIN DECODER MANUAL VERIFICATION#
I have entered my X3 VIN (last 7 digits) into the BMWConnected app, and while it recognised my VIN, it replied that it sent a message to the car and I needed to enter the verification code from the car to continue. I know because my wife just took delivery of an X1 recently and we had to go through this process.

Hi OzBMW84, You won't be able to do much with the BMW connected app until after your car is delivered as it will send a code to the car that you need to verify in the app.
